The summer of 2021 has come to an end. An unusually hot, non-stop summer.
We had an incredible start this July with a tweet from London’s Daily Finance and news from BestStartup EU, selecting us as one of the [Top FinTech](https://beststartup.eu/101-top-fintech-startups-and-companies-in-spain-2021/), [Top Security](https://beststartup.eu/101-top-security-startups-and-companies-in-spain-2021/), and [Top Blockchain](https://beststartup.eu/76-top-blockchain-startups-and-companies-in-spain-2021/) Startups in Spain. A great honor to be on those lists, with incredible projects and companies.
With this fantastic vibe, we went to participate in the 14th edition of the “Investors Day EmprendedorXXI” organized by La Caixa and the Moonshot Thinking: Disruptive Innovation Course by Esade. On this occasion, we were selected among almost a thousand Spanish and Portuguese startups, to present HASHWallet. Yes, a *thousand*, so the bar was set very high. The event ended with very good feelings, great feedback, and plenty of new contacts.
And this was just the beginning.
Chosen among the ten best projects in the national cybersecurity ecosystem, Spain’s Institute of Cybersecurity (INCIBE) selected us to participate in the International Acceleration Program “CyberSecurity Ventures” from July to October. With the aim of contributing to the deployment of cybersecurity strategies in Spain, the HASHWallet project was presented at the “Demo Day”, at the #15ENISE event this October.
In the meantime, our engineers focused on stress testing and further improving HASHWallet’s qualities, both hardware and apps. Examples of improvements are component changes to make the device even more robust, as well as the development of a specifically designed charger for faster and more efficient battery charging.
And then we opened September by traveling to Estonia and Salamanca.
In Tallinn, Daniel attended the “Moonshot Thinking for Entrepreneurs”, held for the winners of the “EmprendedorXXI” award of CaixaBank’s DayOne program. In three intense days organized, he had the opportunity to exchange ideas with large investment funds and accelerators such as Cocoon Ventures and Funderbeam, as well as Gustav Liblik from Change Invest. Great event organized by Take3 Innovat3, Caixabank DayOne, and Esade.
Meanwhile, in Salamanca, José Ramón presented HASHWallet at the Startup OLÉ 2021 among other very interesting worldwide startups. We believe that these kinds of gatherings are great not only to be able to contact face-to-face with investors or media but to engage with like-minded entrepreneurs and share ideas, experiences, and solutions.
Summer was very intense, with a lot of development work, extensive testing, negotiations, presentations, and speeches. We had to run, catch last-minute planes, and go through a massive amount of covid controls. However, we are very happy as we continue to move forward at a good pace and on the right track. Along this path, we are constantly receiving excellent reviews for both HASHWallet and our business model, and we are seeing very promising doors opening.
All this work resulted in eSignus being awarded second place in the “Cybersecurity Ventures” program hosted by Incibe at the @15ENISE event. We are very happy and proud of all that we have achieved in only these months, but this wouldn’t be possible without all the support of our community and our partners in this journey. Thank you very much!!!
Now it’s time to focus on delivering the device and sharing the success of HASHWallet with our supporters.
Stay tuned!
